Java Puzzle
Java started a big hype, because it is such an excellent programming language for network- based applications. Java is completely system independend to run on all kinds of systems found on the internet. But Java is much more than a language to put up neat little thingies to animate web pages. What makes Java strong is the fact that it incorporates things like threads, sockets and graphics without requiring special system libraries. This applet takes an image and splits it up into tiles and randomly scrambles them leaving one tile free, so that you can slide the other tiles around and put them back into the correct spot. Clicking on a tile which has an empty tile on either of its sides (left, right, bottom or top) will move the tile to the empty slot.
